Avenira is a multilayer material that can be manufactured into new innovative solutions. Inside the Avenira board there is at least one, at best two, entire glue films that work as a protective layer against gas, vapour and water. The material is thin, rigid in all directions and with a smooth surface that will protect your valuable merchandise even better.
At its most profitable, Avenira consists of three layers, of which the one in the middle has been
embossed and one of the outer layers coated. The layers can be of fibre or plastics or a combination of these. Your imagination is the limit.

The Innovation Diploma of the Graphic Industry awarded to Avenira Oy
Avenira Oy was – for the second time this year – awarded with a major acknowledgement. The award was received by Jouni Soipio.
The Finnish Technical Research Center and the Graphic Industry organized a competition for new innovations in order to motivate graphic industrial companies in Finland to invest in new ideas, products and services, as well as develop more flexible processes.
The focus of the competition was to develop innovation know-how in the business, thus keeping the business distinctive and successful in global competition and to generate new business through innovations. The next competition will be introduced next year on Book Printer’s day. In the future these competitions will be arranged every second year.
The Chairman of the jury Professor Nisse Enlund, Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan Stockholm, Sweden, concluded that Avenira had a three layer laminated board with mechanically embossed middle layer, which enables high bulk and stiffness values for the sandwich construction. This innovation will open possibilities for a new type of light weight and stiff designs where the graphical performance is of great importance.
